George Stewart - Chairman (Joined in 2016)
I grew up in Connecticut and received my Juris Doctor degree from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I worked for United States Steel Corporation for 24 years in increasingly responsible legal positions, serving in a variety of locations both domestic and international before being named Assistant General Counsel in 2009. I am currently the Senior Corporate Counsel for Rio Tinto, a global mining company. I also served as Board Chairman of the Pittsburgh based South Hills Pregnancy Resource Center for several years, prior to relocating to Utah in September 2014. My wife, Jennifer, and I have two children, Sarah and Connor, and our family lives in Sandy and attends South Mountain Community Church. I choose to invest my time and treasure in helping the "the least of those" who have no voice of their own. I often wonder, out of the 50 million plus lives lost since Roe v Wade, what else has society lost? What potential great minds-- healers, poets, artists, scientists--- have we snuffed out before their time? Much like slavery in the 19th century, this is a difficult, divisive issue tearing at the fabric of our society. It is every bit as morally imperative that we fight this scourge today as it was for our abolitionist forefathers. As William Wilberforce said, "surely the principles of Christianity lead to action as well as meditation." We welcome all to get involved. |

After graduating from college in South Carolina, my husband and I moved to Tennessee to be on staff at a church. Jon served as an assistant pastor, and I also was actively involved in the ministry. While living in Tennessee, I also became involved in a local pregnancy center by being a church ambassador, helping with post-abortive group counseling and eventually serving as a member of the center's board. In 2012, we moved our family across the country to Salt Lake City to be part of a team that started Gospel Grace Church. Much of my time is spent teaching children and mentoring young adults and moms. I have managed a web-store and worked in High School Special Education. Currently I am a stay at home mom to 3 children and a foster mom to children who need a temporary home. Being involved in pro-life organizations has always been a part of my life. I remember participating in Walk for Life events as an early elementary school child. However, it became a passion of mine when I was pregnant with my first child. I walked into a pregnancy center to get information for my church and met a group of passionate people who greatly impacted my life! These pro-life friends taught me to re-think abortion as more than a political issue. For me, it became about moms, dads, babies, grandparents, society, and those suffering in the silence of being post-abortive. My personal desire is to be part of the solution by being a foster-adoptive mom and by serving on the Board of the PRC where men and women are presented with options for an unexpected pregnancy! It is a great privilege to be part of an organization that promotes life as a gift from God! |

I am a board-certified interventional and nuclear cardiologist with special training in the implantation of pacemakers, defibrillators and biventricular pacemakers. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Utah with a bachelor’s degree. I then headed to Oklahoma to complete my medical degree, and after graduating returned to Salt Lake to fulfill an internal medicine internship. Following this internship program I completed a cardiology fellowship at the Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center. I helped write a medical history when I participated in the first artherectomy procedure ever to be performed in Salt Lake City. Additionally, I hold the distinction of implanting the first elective stent at St. Mark’s Hospital. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my wife Cynthia, reading God's Word, hiking, skiing, playing tennis, having fun with my 3 children and eating ice cream. My first memory in life was realizing that God had made me and that therefore I must know God. In college, I was tested with the lie of evolution, but the Spirit of God in me caused me to see and believe that God is the author of life. These encounters with the living God, caused me to understand how precious is life and that there is no greater distinction in all the world than the differentiation of life from death. That understanding has made me a passionate advocate of life. Above all, life that never ends, but as reflected in human existence. This is my driving motivation for wanting to be involved with the Pregnancy Resource Center. |

I am a board-certified Family Medicine physician who graduated with a B.A. from the University of Utah, received my medical degree (with a Honors in Bioethics) from Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine, and completed my residency at St. Anthony North Family Medicine Residency in Westminster, Colorado. I practice full-spectrum Family Medicine, delivering pediatric, maternity, and adult care, and I have special interests in preventive medicine and education. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family, going on medical mission trips, hiking, and journaling. I was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church (Missouri Synod), and I am grateful for the faith the Holy Spirit inspired and nurtured in me. I believe Jesus is Lord, Redeemer, Mighty Counselor and the Divine Physician, and it is my duty and joy to honor, trust and obey Him as I seek to use all He has gifted me to serve Him and my neighbor. I am delighted to serve on the Pregnancy Resource Center Board of Directors, hoping to enhance the center’s ability to deliver the best possible care, while also “speaking the truth in love” to help clients make the healthiest decisions. As science proves, life begins at conception, and I believe every life is precious. “ I want to advocate for those who have no voice, to empower women and men to choose life, to provide support or resources for our clients, and to help relieve suffering, pain, confusion, and other ailments. |
