UTAH COUNTY NEEDS A PRC!
Utah County is the 2nd most populated county in Utah, but for the last six years
it has not had an Evangelical pro-life organization such as the Pregnancy Resource Center of Salt Lake City that shares the Gospel and
Therefore, it is not surprising that Utah County had the 2nd highest number
of abortions in Utah in 2015
and that it's rate of increase
when compared to abortions from 2014 was one of the highest in our state!
Calvary Mountain View church asked in 2015 whether the PRC would create a center located within their property along State Street in American Fork.
As we prayerfully explored this possibility we learned that in its last two years the Pregnancy Resource Center
of Utah Valley (unrelated) served
over 400 clients annually, but that was without the capacity to offer free ultrasound exams.
We also have learned that a satellite center has operational advantages over an independent center.
But having a great location offered to us and being able to create a better working model does not prove that it is God's plan for the PRC to open a satellite center, so would you please join us in praying for Him to clearly guide us about this possibility? and that He would stir the hearts of new and existing financial partners in Utah County and beyond
to help cover the projected startup and operational costs?

e are projecting one time start up costs to be $111.9K, and we praise God that 105% of these expenses have been secured or pledged! Once all bills have been paid for the startup, any remaining funds will go towards the operational needs of this satellite center.
$49.25K of the startup costs came from over 20 separate donors, $38K from 3 different Utah foundations, $21K from an out-of-state organization, and $9K of gift-in-kind donations from over a dozen individuals and organizations.
We still need other individuals and organizations to join in this effort by donating or to providing the remaining supplies, equipment, furniture, and other needs at below market value. This will help drive down our actual costs and provide us more funding for our initial year's operational costs.

In addition to renovations, permitting, etc. below are some of the key startup costs.
Ultrasound Machine & Peripherals ($30.2K) [FUNDED]
It is our goal to offer basic medical services (pregnancy verification & limited ultrasound exams) upon opening.
We want to secure a used certified ultrasound machine that is less than 5 years old.
We also need an ultrasound printer and a large monitor
to go along with this invaluable piece of equipment.
Sonography Training ($10K) [FUNDED]
Training for two volunteer nurses is needed so that they can be certified to perform ultrasound exams.
Though our current Medical Director can handle reading ultrasound reports initially,
we are looking for a OB/GYN from Utah county to handle this task.
Technology & Equipment ($11K) [FUNDED]
Computer hardware & software along with peripherals are required for the reception area, medical office, and office.
A phone system and a copier/fax/scanner is also needed.
Furniture, etc. ($9K) [FUNDED]
Chairs, couches, file cabinets, desks, window & wall treatments, etc. are required for the a waiting area, reception desk, two counseling rooms, two medical rooms, one volunteer work area, and one small office/storage area
Additionally, the medical rooms require an exam table, sink, privacy drapes, etc.
Signage ($2K) [FUNDED]
On-site branding is as important as advertising elsewhere in drawing potential clients to our doors.
Our projections show an annual operating cost of less than $30K, which is extremely low and is possible due to three major factors which include;
